GET READY, HEAT WAVE INCREASES HURRICANE STRENGTH IN 2021

Quintana Roo, Mexico – This Friday the high sky ordered rain since noon in the Riviera Maya, the sky was painted gray and in the background some merchants began to chant “it looks like it’s going to rain”, and for the next 12 hours the water started to pour throughout the territory.

It so happens that climate change has increased the occurrence of natural phenomena, and according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a total of 13 to 20 storms, 6 to 10 hurricanes of 119 km per hour, and 3 to 5 of great intensity with winds over 177 km per hour are forecast.

The experts explain that there is a considerable heat wave in much of the Atlantic, where the ocean surface temperature is 1 to 3 degrees higher than normal this month. With high sea surface temperatures, we are more prone to the arrival of hurricanes.
Climate change will continue to impact and aggravate the effects of natural phenomena that already wreak havoc and are often uncontrollable, so it is recommended to be prepared, review evacuation plans and make sure to have everything necessary at hand.
