ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE RESPONSIBLE TRAVELER’S GUIDE TO THE MEXICAN CARIBBEAN?

More than a year ago the desire of millions of travelers came to a halt, the covid pandemic stopped all the airlines in the world, and consequently many people were displaced, although some time later routes were reactivated, the freedom of movement was not the same.

Now that summer is coming, the desire to go out and encounter the magical destination of the Mexican Caribbean is revived, the tourists’ hearts beat stronger knowing that they will be traveling a few miles to delve into the turquoise sea, the jungle, their skins ask for the embrace of the warmth of Quintana Roo.

And no wonder, the natural and cultural treasures of this state make it a unique destination, worthy of enjoying and keeping safe. The freshness of its land is due to the 19 Federal Protected Natural Areas, its history could not be told without its 19 Archaeological Zones, without its Historical monuments, without the living Mayan culture.

In addition, here lies the second largest barrier reef in the world; paradise feels a little closer, as the sky, the sea and a great variety of fauna and flora come together in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve; while the mystery of creation allows you to explore 407 flooded caves and approximately 2,500 cenotes.

The colors of life vibrate in Quintana Roo, thanks to the fact that it is home to seven thousand 938 different species of fauna, among them 106 reptiles, 17 of which are endemic; 483 species of birds, nine of which can only live here; and its soft white sand is fortunate enough to receive four of the eight species of sea turtles.

It is easy to feel the call of nature, the desire to relax or to go on an adventure, the experts of the Tourism Promotion Council of Quintana Roo (CPTQ) know this, and have prepared a guide where you can find recommendations and suggested actions to carry out activities in your favorite natural place, whether in the jungle, in cenotes, lagoons, subway rivers and beaches; or even in archaeological sites, cultural sites and Mayan communities.

Travel agencies are usually careful to give some recommendations, but having a digital guide at hand can be very helpful, for example if you are going to immerse yourself in the purity of these waters, it is necessary to take a quick shower to remove body creams, perfumes, repellents, sunscreens, makeup, deodorants, and avoid other chemicals that could affect this beautiful paradise.

The guide is just a click away. For more details on everything mentioned above you can download it here. The Mexican Caribbean awaits you!
