Fishing tournament organized in Puerto Morelos

With a 50 percent reduction of boats, due to the pandemic, the 4th edition of the International Fishing Tournament La Diosa del Mar will be held in Puerto Morelos, in which only women will participate, with team registration scheduled for July 9, 2021.

The event, conceived for the 10th of next month, consists of eight hours of fishing in charge of the female participants (men can participate only as crew members of the boats) and the cost to enter the competition is two thousand pesos per team, obtaining their registration on the web page: www.ladiosadelmarpm.com.mx.

The tournament will be carried out in the “catch and release” modality, under a specific regulation for the conservation of species such as, among others, sailfish, billfish and white marlin, as informed by the committee integrated by fisherwomen from Puerto Morelos, who usually participate in mixed tournaments.

It was also announced that the committee of this tournament will become a civil association to promote causes for the benefit of women, in addition to carrying out other actions such as the one planned for June 26th: a deep cleaning of sargassum to restore the beauty of the beaches.
